{This Giveaway is now CLOSED!}
Hey guys! My friend Marie from Make and Takes wrote a fun Kids Craft Book called Make and Takes for Kids: 50 Crafts Throughout the Year. It just hit bookshelves and is now available at all major book stores and online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and Wiley.com. Marie was kind enough to send me my very own copy of the book. My kids are really excited and want to get started on making several of the different craft projects Marie shares.
This book would be perfect gift for the holidays, or stocking stuffer for teacher, parents, grandparents or for your kids. And knowing me…you know I love to spend time with crafting with my kids. It is such a great way to stay connected to and spend time with your family. It is also a great way to foster creativity in your children and get them away from the television and video games.

I am learning to love doing crafts with my 3 and a half year old daughter, Anna. She loves arts and crafts and certainly did not get that love from her mother, But her love of crafts is pushing me to find more projects for us to do together. I love spending the time with her. It’s also an exercise in patience for me, and also in being OK with making a mess, getting glitter glue on your clothes, and digging playdough out of little fingernails. This experience is pushing me to tap into my own DIY abilities and I’m considering doing someof my own crafts for Christmas gifts and decorating this year.
I love to cook, bake, and read with my kids.
When the grandchildren come to visit, as they walk in the door, the first question is always “what project are we going to to today?’ So……we need this book.

I don’t actually have any kids, but I would love to win this for a gift for my sister and her little girls. I used to love doing crafts with my mom and grandma growing up.
I love sharing my obsession with crafts with my daughter. I feel it is a valuable asset to have in life, not just to be able to craft your own toys, jewelry, or pretty things, but to be able to learn to use your hands to make something all by yourself. For her to learn that she can be creative, and productive whilst having fun.
I love reading with my boys!
I love hiking with my kids.
My 4 year old and I spent all day yesterday getting in the mood for Christmas/winter. She made gift tags with glue and balloons, she decorated the doorway (to the closet – it’s a tad early for the rest of the house) with red burlap and Dollar Tree fake poinsettia flowers, and we painted our hearts out.
Thank you!

I like doing craft projects with my kids. I’m always looking for new ideas to keep things new & interesting! :)
I love doing anything with my nieces that makes them think the day is a little extra special, especially taking them with me on errands. My four year old niece went on and on to my sister about how I took her to the music store. This week is her birthday and we are going to starbucks for chocolate milk and then five below to pick out a craft and some candy.
I have a 2 year old daughter who goes to preschool twice a week for a couple of hours. At least once a week I get a sheet of “homework” do to at home that works in conjunction with what she is learning at “school.” It seems to involve not only coloring, but gluing pictures, stamping, drawing, etc. I also homeschool/craft with her as well, out tot time, but now everytime she and I craft together (gluing, stamping, glitter, etc) she always sings outloud HOMEWORK MOMMY! I always laugh because if my homework was all about crafting I would have been a better student way back when! :)
I love baking with my kids. They love fun and creative snacks and anything that they can make themselves or help cut:).
Next would have to be playdough or coloring. There is something so peaceful and calming about those activities.
i’m sure there are lots of cute crafts to do with the kids
