Things at our house have been super busy. I don’t know about you, but May is just as busy as December. We have had a guitar recital, baseball games and practices, soccer games, class plays, talent shows, 4 family birthdays, classroom field trips, yard work, music lessons, and etc. So I have not been doing a lot of crafting. Is it just our house that seems to be this hectic in May? Or do you feel it at your house too?
I did manage to make some delicious Banana Berry Bread amidst the chaos though. I simply took my favorite Banana Bread Recipe and added a 1/2 cup of mixed frozen berries (raspberries, blueberries and blackberries. Super easy and It turned out great. I loved the addition of the berries and it gave new life to a common baked good. Everyone in the family gave it the thumbs up. Not something that happens all that often.
Banana Bread Recipe
1 3/4 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp salt
1 c. mashed bananas (2-3 medium bananas)
1/3 c. butter
2 T. milk

I was just thinking about how May is so crazy around here, for just exactly the same reasons yours is. I’d noticed that my number of posts is down for the month, because I’ve just been doing other things.
Classic add-ins for bananabread are chocolate chips and walnuts, but I love the addition of berries! Great idea! Yours looks delish! Thanks for sharing.
Looks fabulous! I’ve made this in the past and I always love it. I have some blackberries just waiting to be added into bread!
That looks delicious. Recently, I made some banana bread and added coconut, walnuts, and banana flavored rum to it. I topped it with a cream cheese icing. It was so yummy! Next time, I’ll add more rum because it didn’t have quite the punch I wanted.
Busy here too! One week of school left ;)
That recipe sounds yummy!! I have added peanut butter cups to my banana bread (found the recipe on picky palate) and it is yummy too!
