Have you ever struggled to get your children to do their chores? Do you find it difficult to get them motivated and be consistent in tracking and rewarding their efforts? Well…I am really excited to introduce you to an amazing free website for parents and their children.
I was recently introduced to a great site called My Job Chart. I knew right away that it was a tool that parents everywhere could use. My Job Chart is a FREE online interactive job chart that was created by a father of six. I can’t think of how many different types of job charts I have used to motivate my children to do their chores. Remember when I shared with you our reward system and chore charts that we use with our children? Well, the system used on My Job Chart is very similar, but they have done all the work for you.
All you need to do is add each child in your family and then customize their jobs using the easy selection system. Then you can print out each child’s chore chart or your older kids can access it and fill it out online. When a child has completed a job, you can choose to notified by either a text or an email.
But perhaps the best part of their system, is that they have included a way to set up a rewards system. You can choose from a list of rewards or come up with custom rewards. Each job can be given a point value. You can determine how many points it will take for your child to earn a reward. Then when a reward has been earned because the child has completed the required point total, you will be notified so you can implement the child’s reward.
Pretty ingenious right? So go on over to My Job Chart and see for yourself! I really think this site has something for every family. I hope you find this useful.

I hated job charts when I was raising my 8 kids, we just all got together and did it all. But this looks like a fun idea for the kids to do..less nagging hopefully! Come say hi :D
I love this Idea! I'm going to try it. Thanks so much for sharing!
One of my goals for the upcoming new year is to find more positive ways of encouraging my children to meet their responsibilities. The chore chart site is wonderful! Thank you so much to pointing me to it. We set it up today and my kids are almost finished with their chores for the day–and it's only lunch time.
Amy, I love, love, love you for posting this website. Jason and I were just talking about implementing a new system. I love how I don't have to have paper and things around the house to track it. My kids will love logging on and tracking their jobs. Thanks a million!
That sounds like a great idea! I have always had a hard time implementing long standing chores with my kids but this might be just the tool to break my streak! Thanks!
I love this too!
My kids will like getting computer time to check off their chores.
Any ideas on how to implement the reward system??
thanks!
looks like a very nice website – that will work well, especially with older children, however, for my son at his age now, i think the traditional chart is best because he isn't using the computer yet…i will definitely keep this in mind for the future…
now, wonder if i could set it up for my husband – with his own 'rewards' – LOL
I just wanted to let you know that there is an award for you over at Mommy-Guru.
I just have one follow-up question for you from Christmas. My husband and I just sat down to write down traditions for next year and I realized I never did find out what your love socks are. Can you do a follow-up, belated post on that? It sounds great! And I can let my imagination flow with it, but I am curious about the specifics you've worked out with your family and trial and error! Thanks!!!
