What kids (or adult) doesn’t love a great slime recipe? My kids are no exception and love when we make some slime. We haven’t made any for a while so I thought it would be fun to created a Halloween Glow-in-the-Dark Slime that you could turn into a fun little Halloween Gift idea for your friends and family.
I have a Slime Recipe with Borax that I shared SEVERAL years ago, which some of you long-timers might remember. But there were some people who didn’t love the thought of using Borax, which that recipe calls for. So today, I am sharing a Non-Borax Slime Recipe.
This recipe uses Liquid Starch which can be found in the laundry aisle or here. Are you ready for the recipe?
Supplies needed:
Elmer’s Glitter Glue (clear or white glue works as well)
Water
Measuring Cup
2 bowls and a spoon
*food coloring, confetti, glitter, google eyes
Liquid Starch Slime Recipe
½ cup water
½ cup glue
½ cup liquid starch
*extra add-ins
1. In one bowl mix 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup of glue {really mix to combine completely}.
2. Now’s the time to add color, glitter, or confetti!
3. In another bowl measure out 1/2 cup of liquid starch.
4. Slowly mix the glue/water mixture into the starch with a spoon, make sure to get all glue out of bowl.
5. Switch to mixing with hands for a few minutes until you feel it come together.
6. Put in a clean, dry container or on a plate.
**Liquid starch slime gets better with use. Keep playing with it and in a few minutes, it should reach a nice consistency. Store in an air-tight container. If it gets hardened, it may be possible to revive it by adding a little bit of water to it and kneading it together.
Add in some of these fun little monster finger puppets to make it a fun Halloween Gift idea! I found them here. If you want to download the FREE Printable Monster Slime Labels, simply click on the link below.

Hi,
Found your blog via pinterest.
Love this idea and your printable.
Quick question, do you recall the size jar you used or perhaps maker/ link?
Thanks
Heather
I believe it is an 8oz jar that I used. Enjoy!
I’m so glad I found your site, I’m having a monster themed birthday party for my 2 year old girl. Could you tell me what size jars you used for the slime/labels and how many of the jars you were able to fill with the recipe shown? Thanks!
Emilia- I made this a long time ago, so I will try and remember. The labels are about 2 inches across. So I would think the jars are about 2.5 inches wide. I believe the recipe filled maybe 2-3 jars. Hope this helps.
